Archiving your emails in Microsoft Outlook

Archiving email is a useful maintenance process that helps your Microsoft Outlook email program run more effectively. Archiving basically takes older emails out of your main email storage file and places them in a new "Archive" storage file on your computer. This keeps your main storage file "lean" and offers benefits such as quicker searching and sorting etc.

The steps you need to take to do the archiving depend on what version of Microsoft Outlook you are using.
